Our Work Speaks

Every project's got its own story - from sketchy napkin drawings to the real deal. We've been lucky enough to work with some incredible folks who trusted us to bring their visions to life while keeping things green and honest.

Westside Family Home

This one was a challenge - the clients wanted to stay in their neighborhood but needed way more space. We added a full second story and reworked the whole layout, threw in some passive solar design, and got them to net-zero. They're basically paying pennies for heating now.

Harbour Centre Office

A tech startup needed something different from the usual glass box situation. We designed flexible workspaces that actually adapt to how people work - not how we think they should work. Natural light everywhere, real ventilation, and honestly? It's become one of our favorite spaces to visit.

Whistler Retreat

Mountain architecture can be tricky - you want those views but you've gotta respect the landscape. This family getaway sits light on the land with timber from local mills and a footprint that barely disturbs the existing terrain. Feels like it's always been there.

Granville Cafe & Co-work

What happens when a coffee roaster and a freelance collective team up? This hybrid space. We salvaged materials from a demolished warehouse down the street and created zones that flow but still give folks their own vibe. The exposed brick wasn't planned - we just got lucky.

Kitsilano Laneway House

Tiny lot, big dreams. The owners wanted rental income but wouldn't compromise on sustainability. We maxed out the allowable footprint and went vertical with clerestory windows that make it feel twice the size. Solar panels on the main house power both units.

Gastown Heritage Conversion

Old brick warehouses have soul - you just can't fake that. This 1912 building needed serious seismic work and modern systems, but we kept every bit of character we could. Now it's home to three retail spaces and offices above. The heritage committee actually sent us a thank-you note.

Sometimes clients know exactly what they want. This family had lived in their old house for 20 years and knew every quirk. We designed around their actual life - not some magazine spread. The result? A home that fits like a glove and opens up to an incredible garden.

Yaletown Wellness Center

A health and wellness clinic that needed to feel calm without being boring. We used natural materials, tons of plants, and a layout that gives privacy while staying open. The air quality system is probably overkill, but hey - it's a health center. Might as well walk the walk.

East Van Character Renewal

This 1920s craftsman was rough - previous owners had done some... interesting things. We stripped it back, saved the original fir floors and trim, and gave it modern guts. Kept the porch, restored the windows, and now it's the envy of the block. Character homes deserve respect.

North Shore Passive House

Certified Passive House on a slope - yeah, we're a bit proud of this one. Triple-glazed windows, insulation that'd make an arctic explorer jealous, and an HRV system that's basically magic. The owners wear t-shirts in January and their heating bills are laughable.

Main Street Bistro

Restaurant design is all about flow - kitchen to table, customer to washroom, vibe to acoustics. The chef wanted an open kitchen, the owner wanted 60 seats, and we had 1100 square feet. Tight squeeze, but we made it work. The patio's become the neighborhood hangout.

False Creek Townhomes

Four units that look like they're having a conversation with each other. Each one's a bit different - different families, different needs - but they work together as a whole. The shared courtyard in the middle became this unexpected community space. Kids play there every evening.
